When Bruno Beltrão entered the hip-hop scene of his hometown Niterói at the age of 13, tough competitions dominated street dancing. Touching each other was a taboo, everyone fought against everyone else. He quit that: Since 2001 he has been creating new kinds of pieces. The magazine Ballettanz nominated him as the best newcomer choreographer of the year for H2. Now he presents a progression: H3. It’s about potential movement. Keeping oneself awake for the moment when it happens. The extremely well trained hip-hoppers may touch on the material of popping and krumping. But they have a different goal.
