Building Bridges – on Creative Work with Non-Professionals and Professionals

Is it possible to bring together non-professionals and professionals in dance theatre? How can different styles and standards in dance be combined? Based on two generation-spanning dance theatre pieces, the lecturers present the way in which these processes can evolve. ‘Bremens Gute Stube’ and ‘ErWachsen’ are two recent examples that highlight the great interest in this form of dance. Film excerpts convey impressions of the varied processes and the special attraction of this kind of dance theatre.

Marion Amschwand is the artistic director of both pieces. Inge Deppert, of impuls e.V., was responsible for organising the projects and engaged as an active participant. An open discussion is possible after the lecture.
